“LIN’s Annual Cross-Sector Conference: Partnerships – Impact – Sustainability” on May 30, 2019 (Thursday), 08:30-17:00 at Park Hyatt Saigon

This year we are proud to announce our updated conference name: “LIN’s Annual Cross-Sector Conference: Partnerships – Impact – Sustainability”, chosen to reflect the core objective of the conference, which is to connect stakeholders from diverse sectors to build strategic and sustainable models for impact in our communities.

To reflect the importance of the key players driving development in Vietnam through partnership, our focus for the 2019 Conference is threefold:

Following from the previous years, the 2019 Conference promotes cross-sector partnerships that:

  • Build value and sustainable impact to the socio-economic development of Vietnam.
  • Encourage and enable businesses to continue to grow sustainably.
  • Strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders from business, nonprofit, and government.
  • Examples will come from cross-sector partnerships presenting frameworks, tools, and platforms through practical case studies in Vietnam and internationally.

The event gathers over 200 international and local representatives from business, NGOs/NPOs, researchers, academia, media, and government, who share common development goals, that create a safe living and working space for all, and contribute to sustainable socio-economic development.

The LIN Annual Cross-Sector Conference: Partnerships – Impact – Sustainability offers a unique platform to be inspired; to engage with other sectors; to develop understanding of new models; and to connect with like-minded from different sectors to create impact.

Participants are:

  • Senior leaders, Marketing, HR managers, CSR executives of MNCs, and SMEs that would like to effectively strengthen their CSR engagement in their company and its value chain internally and externally
  • Non-profit organizations looking for innovative models and win-win-win approaches for collaboration with other sectors, who share common development goals.
  • Philanthropists interested in engaging strategically with other sectors and participate in lifting up the topic

LIN is a registered Vietnamese non-government, nonprofit organization founded in 2009. LIN is the pioneer and only organization in Vietnam supporting the development of local nonprofit organizations, at the same time, facilitating the partnerships between individuals/business and local nonprofit organizations to help them fulfill their potentials as vehicles for sustainable development, poverty alleviation, and citizen participation in Vietnam.

LIN empowers the local nonprofit community by providing support of information, network, expertise, and finance. LIN facilitates the collaboration between individuals and business/institutions, and the local nonprofits toward social impacts. In addition, LIN assists HCMC-based businesses and business chambers to contribute to community-led development by strengthening and stimulating best practices in corporate community engagement, corporate philanthropy, and CSR/CSV, which help improve the quality of life in Ho Chi Minh City while improving the outcomes of businesses operating in Vietnam.

CanCham is a voluntary business association dedicated to assisting companies and individuals doing business in Vietnam. Our aim is to provide our members with business support, education, and a social environment for the purpose of exchanging ideas, sharing expertise among members, and building on experiences. By encouraging collaboration and cooperation between businesses, government, residents and other stakeholders, we help create a synergistic environment in which we all thrive. In addition, CanCham takes pride in contributing to the improvement of the social life in Vietnam by donating all excess funds received to a number of different charitable organizations in Vietnam.

CanCham is a non-profit organization whose mission is to strengthen business and community relations for its members. With its origin dating back to 1994, CanCham has become one of the most active and dynamic business organizations in Vietnam, coordinating a broad array of social and business events that reach out to the entire population – from local business leaders to new entrepreneurs. With a presence in both Ho Chi Minh City and in Hanoi, CanCham is also a venue for young, open-minded Vietnamese business people who want to expand their network and access the Canadian and the international business community.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-Vietnam (CCIFV) main goal is to drive and represent the French business community in Vietnam and to facilitate the exchange of goods, services and capital between both countries. It gathers 300 members, from individual members to MNCs, including SMEs. As a business association, we strive to increase the flow of good business practices, experiences and contacts to create synergies and enhance sustainable development in Vietnam. Through our growing Corporate Social Responsibility program, we initiated a reflection on the impact companies have locally, and offer means to these companies to deliver a positive impact. Our CSR Program aims to raise public awareness on social responsibility and support the implementation of CSR strategies in Vietnam. We use the power of our network to share knowledge about CSR. Besides, we bring together various stakeholders to CSR events we organize, with a view to foster dialogue on sustainability. To dig deeper, we offer services and tools to help companies improve their social and environmental impact.
